You could say that I’ve been doing this for quite some time, let’s see, got my first road bike in 78. Okay let’s not do numbers as it may make me look old. We’ll just say that it’s been over 30 years that I’ve been riding on the road. If you take in all the years that I spent on the farm growing up as a kid you could say more like 40 years or so. You get a bike when you’re young and then you grow up, you know, become more responsible as bikes are not safe, so they say!! Done that, but still kept the bike. It's funny when you’re my age and you meet somebody for the first time and because you ride a big sports bike they think you're trying to hold onto your youth. Little do they know that at my age I don’t care what they think! A good ride is like a form of meditation, you clear the mind and only think of the road and how to ride it. The more I commit to this the better the ride and all the crap in your head is gone.
