When I was about 14 I had my first ride with a 50cc two-stroke moped. My dad used to ride a Piaggio Vespa from his early 20's, so I guess his influence on my brother and I came as no surprise. I got my first proper bike at about 16, as a replacement for my bicycle. When I was 20, living in Athens, I got a Yamaha DT 125R, a real motorcycle, with real brakes and sufficient turning abilities. I kept my DT for almost 3 years, riding on every kind of surface, from off-road trails to go kart tracks. I changed the DT for a WR 450F. What a bike that was! Great power delivery for a good wheelying machine and probably the best everyday enduro bike. My WR got me to my first proper off-road mini-adventures and welcomed me to the fantastic world of enduro riding. Last year I sold my WR 450F and got a KTM 125 EXC. In 2007 I decided to take part in all the races of the Greek Enduro Championship, getting 9th place in the Enduro1 category. In 2008 I'll be racing in the Greek enduro championship with my new Husqvarna TE 250ie, hopefully competing in the ISDE 08 that'll take part in Serres, Greece.
Story ends ... the story continues.
July 2010. I did not compete at the ISDE 2008, but I did race the WEC 2009 and the Red Bull Romaniacs 2010. I'm racing a Beta RR 520 this year, sponsored by the Greek Beta improter, The Fuoristrada Co. Things have changed a lot, you see...
