I experimented with the paintwork, I did this by spraying on a base coat of red and orange, then applied masking tape to the general flame areas, then cut out the shape of the flames with a craft knife, then peeled off excess masking tape, leaving the shape of the flames masked off on the tank, then sprayed the whole thing black. When the masking tape was peeled off it revealed the yellow and red flames. I then laquered the whole thing with petrol proof laquer. :-) Great fun!
