I have been restoring old Hondas for years. I usually put them back to stock specs, ride them for a while then sell them. When I came across my '81 CB900 Custom it took a year to bring it back up to specification, but once it was finished I kept it. I ride it every day and honestly would not trade it for any other bike on the planet. I currently own and operate a small engine repair shop. Business has been slow but I have an 83 650 Nighthawk that is just begging my attention.
