I have always had a love for classic bikes, and when I began the search for the right classic, I came across the KZ. They are good handling, good looking, and torquey bikes. I found my 650C on e-bay and got a great deal. While I was learning to ride I laid the bike down in a ditch, but only destroyed the cafe-racer fairing. I then added the custom touch and changed the bars mirrors head-light and turn-signals. The previous owner had put late model ninja rear turn signals and a re-jetting kit. If you have one of your own, I´d love to hear of your experiences with it.
Update:
I decided to forgo the Vance & Hines idea because everything was back-ordered, so I put a four-into-two Mac exhaust on it. It sounds great and has twice as much power because it has it´s back-pressure it needed. Yeah, never do a stupid thing like ripping your baffle out. Bad idea!
Well, here I am about a year later with my KZ completely restored!! It looks awesome, I´ll have new picks in soon.
As an update from the last message, I still have the KZ and it's in the process of getting new piston rings. Also, about a year or so ago, I became a proud father of a VF750 Magna. I love it to death, but I miss cruising on the old KZ.
