First toured Europe in 1963 on a 1932 500 cc MotoGuzzi Single with exposed flywheel. Purchased a 250 BSA from Elite Motors Tooting in 1969 for a 2 month tour of GB and France. Purchased 1972 BSA 650 Lighting from Elite Motors Fall 1971 which my wife and I used while living in Normandie 1971-2. We still have this bike here in California. Currently I has 12334 miles on it and is original with the exception of the tyres. It still starts with one kick and it still drips oil. First photo of the 650 taken Spring 1972 in Dorset England, Second picture taken 3 Oct 2004 in La Mesa CA. The 250“s photo (Don“t know the model name) was taken Summer 1969 near Amiens France. The Moto Guzzi is a 1932 ex Italian Army bike purchased in Tunisia. The photo was taken in the French Pyreenes Oct. 1964 during a 3000 mile trip from Tunis thru Spain and France before returning to Tunisia. It was a 500 cc single, but I don“t know the model name. The choices on this web site didn“t go below 1950. In my youth I owned and raced 2 different Lotus XI Lemans, and Lola T 340 Formula Ford. Currently I race a Mazda RX 7 with a Regional SCCA Competition License.
