The GS 500 made a perfect first bike. It was so easy and fun to ride. + The GSX-R 600 has been a great step up. There is NO comparison between the power bands of these bikes. However, they do handle similar because of height, weight, and rider posistion. + I still believe southern Arizona has the best mountain roads and the best year-round riding weather.
