I started with a 1979 Yamaha XT250, but i quickly outgrew it. I got a 92 Yamaha WR-250 From a Friend for pretty cheap. To date i have put a Pro cuircut Platinum Pipe, RAD Valve, Wiseco +20 Piston and sleeve, Showa forks + rear disk brakes, performance clutch kit, and i have had the carb jets drilled. On a good day, my bike will top out at about 80-85 mph. P.S. My worst crash was at 70 mph. got 35 ft of air and almost totaled my bike. By the way My friend wrecked it at a local track and trashed some of the plastic and a couple of exaust mounts. "Time for a second job".
