šŸ“ San Jose, Ca., United States šŸ“… Riding since 1982
Avid 2-Stroke fanatic... First bike owned was a ultra trick 1977 Yamaha RD 400, with hand fabricated aluminum swingarm, TZ250 forks, and custom made DR Engineering chambers.. By far,one of the the quickest, and best handling RD“s in existence.. Stolen in 1990. Started riding off-road in 1990, on a 1983 Yamaha IT465, a great first dirt bike.. Had a horrorific crash in June of 1991, resulting in severe arm and leg fractures, that took 3 yrs and 6 operations, to fix.. Started riding again mostly on an 83 Honda XR200, and with the mentoring of my nieghbor, learnd to ride super technical single track(i.e. Rubicon Jeep Trail) My nieghbor began racing enduro and hare scambles in 1996 riding a 1993 KTM 300EXC. I did his race support, and maintained and race preped his KTM.. He gave up racing in 1999 due to a back injury.. The KTM sat in the garage until 2004, when bought it from him.. I ride 2-3 times a week, mostly at Hollister, Metcalf, and Carnige SVRA“s.. My KTM is such a sweet bike.. I love the smooth powerband that is very 4-stroke like, making it perfect for fast technical single track. The handling is almost perfect, but has a harsh ride due to my weight. The suspension was done by Linnman Engenering , and set up for my neighbor who is 6-3 and 220lbs.. Linnman is currently reworking the forks, and shock to my riding style and weight, and I“m doing a full teardown and rebuild, minus the engine.. It“s 14 yrs old, but the bottom end is in excellent shape, and the top end has less than a year on it since it was overhauld. I sould have it back together by the 1st week of April.. I enjoy riding with other people, so if you are looking to go ride in the Bay Area, E-Mail me, and lets go ride.. I enjoy riding with beginers or veterens, and it“s cool if you ride at a slower pace than me. I dont ride real fast, but like technical single track, and hillclibing etc..
