I've owned many motorcycles in my life and recently must have somehow went back to an old favorite style, the dual sport, or enduro I guess it's called. I'm here at this site to have fun and learn from others as well as share my knowledge with anyone who may be interested. So here's a quick list of my previous motorcycles and approximate year of them. EZ Rider ( some little scrub brake lawnmower engine thing) Puch moped 1975 (I think) Yamaha DT 125 1978 ( what a great little bike, I'll always miss) Kawasaki 400 ( dont remember the year or the model ) Suzuki GS 550 1985 ( I believe ) ( got it cheap, made it run, never had a motorcycle license , but drove it for many, many miles. Suzuki Bandit 600 1997 ( finally got my motorcycle license ) great bike but got spooked in a near fatal miss and sold it. in 2000 or so. (The regression) Just bought a 1982 Yamaha xt200j . I'm going to bring this thing back to life on the road. If the previous owner ever did have it on the road ? Needs some work on the body but the engine is mighty fine. ( I figure the engine tick after warming up a bit is from never having had it's valves adjusted) It's only got 2070 miles on it but I believe it's previous owner just played with it locally and got it hot a lot. I know where he lives and there's no place to ride it so ( that's what I figure). Well, here's the picture of what it looks like today and I will post more pics as I aquire parts from the dealer and mostly ebay. The title states that it was originally red. I figure the gas tank was replaced and the side covers are missing. I've decided to retitle it under white. Which I will make it. Any suggestions for accessories are truely appreciated. Shoot me an email anytime If you'd like to chat about this bike or similiar. By the way, It only cost me $ 600.00 . I wanted the new 2008 but the price and my lack of a garage influenced me to make this move on it. Hell, this is gonna be a fun ride for sure.......... kevusaborn@yahoo.com
