My first bike was a Suzuki X1 when I was 16. Got my O level results and rode 60 miles from North London to Sussex to tell my parents. Top speed was 31mph, downhill wind assisted but I got there. Twenty years later I did my direct access course and bought a brand new Monster Dark 600 from Italia Moto in Lincoln - good ol Tony. Couple of years later I fancied a sports bike so traded up to a Ducati 900SS, black again and still have it. I've done a few track days on it at Cadwell, Donington and Trac y Mon (Anglesey). So far I am happy with the Italian marque but would like to try something like an R6 - one maybe.
