I“ve had a few bikes in my life... started off in the late “60s with a Suzuki 50. I had 1967 Honda CB450 for several years but gave up riding for at least 10 years because of a scare... realized the consequences of a serious accident. The bike sat behind the house for years and after I discovered the kids filled the gas tank and exhaust with gravel, I sold it to a guy who rebuilds bikes. He restored it to show room condition. Sent all over the world for original parts. I later picked up a Kawasaki... didn“t have it long enough to even remember the model. It was big... I didn“t feel comfortable on it so gave it to my son for a graduation present. He had is in pieces within days and it never got back together. The only thing that remains are the hard saddle bags that are in the rafters of my garage. The Bombardier 400... I picked it up from a friend moving to the US but again, never comfortable riding. 2 years ago I got my Honda Shadow and it suits me just fine. I ride it to work but that is about all. My next purchase is going to be a Honda Goldwing. I prefer the look of the older ones so I may have to get one from the mid “90s and have it rebuilt. My goal would be to do a coast to coast ride in about 3-4 years. (my grand-daughter wants it to have a side-car so she can come along).
