I recently bought a low-kms 1988 GSX1100F after a spell of about 20 years of deprivation. (I last owned a m´bike in the late ´80s. My first bike was a Honda XL250S road-legal trailbike, then after a friend wrecked it in an accident I bought a Suzuki GSX400E, which I managed to prang after a collision with a drunk driver. The only other bike I rode after that was Honda´s beautiful (back then) CB900 Bol D´or.) Back in 1996 my wife and I hired an XJ900 Diversion and did a two-week tour of NZ´s South Island. Absolutely loved it. I mistakenly thought that would cure me once and for all, but of course it just made things worse. Anyway, a few years and two kids later and I´m back in the saddle, pushing 40 this year (some claim I´m going through a mid-life crisis), and feeling like a newbie. Looking forward to stretching my GSX´s long legs on our region´s fantastic roads. Any other GSX1100F owners out there?
