In 1977, I decided I was going to buy a motorcycle and after doing a little research I had settled on the Honda 750-F, which was the hot bike that year. Fortunately for me, Honda didn't make enough bikes to meet the demand. Since the local Honda shop had no 750's to sell I went up the street to the Kawasaki dealer, there I found the KZ650's, KZ750's and the hottest bike to ever hit the street (at that time), the KZ1000. I was looking at all the bikes in the showroom and noticed a poster on the wall of a KZ1000-LTD. Wow! What a nice looking motorcycle! I asked the salesman why there weren't any of the LTD's on the floor and he told me they were a true limited edition bike and Northern Nevada had been alotted eight of these awesome bikes. He went on to tell me that five had already been sold and that he had three more coming in, in a week or so, two of which were sold. Right then and there I put my money down on my very first mtotorcyle. The 1977 KZ1000-LTD is a true classic that I am still proud to own and ride. It is in excellent condition, even for a bike that is 31 years old.
