📍 Roseburg, Oregon, United States 📅 Riding since 1966
I'm a person that never throws anything away (of any value) and have always kept my '65 S90 garaged, although I have not ridden it in about 15 years. I'm getting it back out now that gas is rediculously high and plan to ride it on short trips about town. I will include a picture of my bike when I get it going. Even though I ran all gas out of it when I parked it, the motor was seized and I put a penetrating oil in the cylinder through the spark plug hole and kept working with it until it freed up. I'm trying to purchase a battery for it right now. Just got a battery (had to order it) and got it charged. I then had to take the carburator apart and clean the float valve, and all other jets. Got it purrring like a kitten this afternoon, July 6, 2008. July 23, 2008 -- trying to get a spedo cable for my bike and ordered a back tire. I am taking the muffler to a brazer to get it back in shape. The gas tank main valve was plugged and gas would only flow from R position. Finally with a lot of parts cleaner spray, I got this problem fixed. Continues to turn a lot of heads and it is working very well for short trips about town.
