Photo Info: This is my 3rd and latest bike. It took some time to get used to the styling but to me it looks the best out of the other 3 (R1, CBR1000, Gixxer 1000). Ducati''s are in a styling class of their own and so is the maintenance and price. So I opted for this 09 Kaw ZX10R. Inline 4 power compared to V twins is just so much smoother. If I can desribe this bike I would say FREAKIN FAST!! This bike is just warming up at 100mph barely touching green on the speedometer with 7000 spare rpms left to go before red line. You will say uncle before this bike does. Im not a racer but I imagine this bike is the closest I will get to a race bike plus a few mods. Its light enough as it should be craming a 1000cc engine into a 600ish frame. When I first got the bike the breaks seemed a little weak but since it has gotten better. My only complaint is really comfort (oh and the non adjustable mirrors). I think an adjustable rear set is in order and should alleviate me having to contort my foot in a strange way just to hit the breaks. Maintenance on Japanese bikes seem pretty much straight forward. I don''t think the Kaw color scheme does this bike justice. I guess Black, Burnt Orange, and Special Ed is the best they could come up with. And guess what? I''d take anyone of them even that butt ugly burnt orange cause this bike is one fast mofo. And who was the genius to decide that the US wouldn''t get the all White joint???? Anyways heck of a bike and im lovin it. |
