Info: This is how I bought the Yamaha Maxim 650 1982 in May 2009. I did a little bit of washing and polishing, it looked worse before.

Information: I bought this bike in 2009. It used to be the standard red Maxim that we all know. No changes were made and the bike was used for parts by the last owner. I did a full make-over. Added sissybar, brand new tires, headlight and other small parts. I changed the color to black during the winter. I took of the Yamaha signs on the tank and sidecaps. I left the Maxim-logo off both sidecaps. I added the new Yamaha-logo on the tank. I painted the letters on the wheels white and changed the color of the spokes (in the wheels) from the original color (gold/grey) to black. I changed the battery this spring for better performance. Still to be done are the endparts of the exhaustpipes. I find it hard to find them. I also need a way to fix a few damaged parts of the buddysit. The bike drives very well. No problems at all. I used to own a Yamaha Midnight Virago 1983 (gave it away for parts due to the many diseases this bike has).
