Bike has great everything! If you donīt have one get one. Roll on wheelies are very addicting.
Holeshots Backrest with rear rack. Wife loves it!!!!!! Iīve installed the risers from Holeshot with ss brake lines nice items for $130.
Update: Handle bar risers and new handle bars. They are a great investment for comfort. The Holeshot kit is just the start to get real comfortable. The s.s.brakelines give you enough to make a bar swap. I bought a Fly Racing dirt bike T6 grade handle bars. Then I took the support off the middle of the bars and drilled the holes for the controls. It gives me more rise and pullback. Now itīs a touring machine. Also I just installed the first set of tires at 4,000 miles. I replaced the 100x with the Conti-forces due mainly cause I cannot locate any 100xīs in the stock size for the bike, wierd hey? The conti-force are $180 for the front and the rear. It rides and handles perfect.
UPDATE Part 2-
Both tires have 1200 miles on them. Conti-forces are worth the money as far as handling, ride and grip go. I also added a set of Pilot driving lights Part#PL-2088B 55watters. Iīve tried several other lights and kept busting bulbs(vibration) so I mounted these on the front fender (mount them as low as you can, front fairing will hit them under hard braking if you donīt). They do a great job of lighting up the road. The reflector inside them had to be turned to get the beam of light flat and level.(just pop them out and turn reflector 90 degrees and reinstall into housing) Lights here are a must a night too many ELK and Whitetails running across the road. The lights blend real nice with the black on the bike. Hardly even noticable until you turn them on.
Valves adjusted and sync carbs now! Feb 2005 running tight now.
June 2005 Contiforce rear tire lasted 4,000 miles with no burnouts. The front is still decent shape so I replaced the rear with another Contiforce for now. Next set will be Michelin Road Tour or Metzeler Road Tecīs.
Cannot find a tire that will last on the back of this torquey machine! Jan 2006-Have over 10,000 on bike now, installing hand guards currently from Acerbis. Should help with the winter riding along with the hand warmers. March 2006 hand guards are great on a sport tourer with hand warmers. They look great too. They cost $69.99 and worth every penny.
May 2006- Ordered "Starcom1 Advance System" installation this week. Should work great with the Ipod and Valentine Radar Detector!
Has anyone found any larger floorboard type footpegs for the rear of this bike? E-Mail me Thanks....
