1972 KTM 125 EXC

Info: One FAST 125 back in those days! It was ported a bit and set up for racing the deserts of SoCal. It had no troubles keeping up with my riding buddy''s Bultaco 370 Frontera up to ~75mph, where the Bul could finally pull it by a few mph. To those unfamiliar with Penton, Sachs or DKW motors, they often mistook this bike for a 400 since the massive fins belied the engine''s true size.

1966 Suzuki JR 80

Info: Not a JR 80, but a Suzuki 80 nonetheless. This was the K10P street/trail bike. Similar to the T-120 Cat, only smaller. It was a great bike for a kid to learn on, but I quickly outgrew it. 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200
Photos: 47
Info: My current steed. Plenty of torque! It''s fast enough to land you in jail, handles well enough for safe & sane street riding (and even into the unsafe & insane realm), has sporty good looks and is WAAAY more comfortable to ride than a repli-racer... but I thank Suzuki for the GSXR''s anyway, since that''s where this great motor came from.

1977 Suzuki GSX 750
Photos: 1
Info: Bought new in June 1977 from Orange County Suzuki. Got transferred from CA to VA in late July. Rode it home to WA, then across the US to VA. In Sept, I was transferred to NC and made several trips to GA. A ''friend'' stole it from me in March 1978 when he went AWOL - while I was stuck aboard a ship.

1975 Yamaha RD 350

Info: Quick, agile, light and fun! Can you say WEEE LEEE? :D I knew you could. It was bikes like this that people started with to make their own sportbikes back in the days before the factories would do it for us.
