1991 Yamaha TDR 250

Photos: 6
Info: The TDR 250 has the same engine as the TZR 250 , with a shorter gearbox which makes for manic acceleration - quicker than my RD350 YPVS and VFR 400 NC24 at any rate . It''s a good looking bike , better than all those race reps in my opinion and enormously fun to ride thanks to the power-band. I''ve had it up to 100 mph but I think it''ll do a bit more ,given the chance .I''m looking for a works
1991 Suzuki TS 50

Info: The white one was mine , complete with fresco exhaust and small rear sprocket . It would just about do 40mph on the flat . Beats those crappy hairdriers that are all the rage these days - and you can use it in your local woods/forest too! The yellow one belonged to a mate and had a 65cc big bore kit which enabled it to do 65mph , albeit with frequent meltdowns!
1986 Honda CM 125

Info: The CM 125 has a 4 - stroke twin engine and sounds very nice for a 125. Mine had twin pipes and did about 65mph on the flat.
1988 Yamaha DT 125

Info: The DT125R has the same engine as the TZR125 and goes very well (mine did about 90mph). De-restriction is by turning the power valve through 90 degrees (can be done with a normal socket or spanner.) Don''t go every where at 90 or you''ll blow the engine up and need a new piston and rebore . I was lucky and got a new engine for £100 .
1987 Honda VFR 400

Info: My NC24 was hard to start on cold mornings and the plugs are a nightmare to get to . That said , she looked and sounded very nice and did about 125 on the flat. I found the power delivery a bit flat after my RD350 YPVS and sold her in favour of a TDR 250.
