Information: This is Suzi, a GSXR400 RKSP. She''s a 1989 GK73a model, Sports Production and despite her age is a grand little bike.
Didn''t like all the stickers on her so they''ve now been removed, unfortunately revealing the results of a couple of stationary drops. :( No worries though, I think she looks a lot cleaner and smarter now, the metallic grey paintwork is nice overall. Just got a GSXR decal kit which I''ll fit...err sometime. Keeping it nice & subtle & simple. :)
She does need her carbs cleaning, again I just need to have a block of time to do this.
Also have some stock mirrors to fit, just need to spray them black first (they''re yellow!)
Ridewise, she is a proper sporty pocket rocket. Accelerates superbly, but uses fuel accordingly!! :S
The riding position is uncomfortable for long distances (but then she''s hardly a tourer!) and puts a lot of pressure on the wrists. Nice & low though, and light enough to manoeuvre comfortably.
Been up to an (indicated) ton twenty on her (on private land, of course ;) ) before I chickened out! She has more in her, but I really don''t need any more speed than that tbh.
She sounds lovely, thanks to the Yoshi can. Very happy riding her, wish I had more time to devote to her/enjoy her but that''s life I guess...
