Information: Bought this as an upgrade from the GT550. I needed something larger and more powerful than my little shopping bike. This US import model was very nice looking, comfy and torquey and served me well for touring, rallying and commuting for a couple of years. I fitted an imported a MAC exhaust system which made it very loud!
First saw it at the Eclipse Rally in Cornwall, August 1999. This is the bike I was on when I met my husband.
Sadly the starter motor clutch self-destructed and despite an expensive repair, it was never right after that. I aslo binned it on a dieseled road in January 2002 which ruined the unique purple and gold paint. I decided to paint it day-glo pink in an effort to be seen and be safe. Ugh!
Sold on eBay to a guy who wanted to build a trike. Hope it´s going well for him!
