Information: Only made for two years as a factory Turbo. Kawasaki also armed this bike with Digital Fuel Injection straight out of the factory. This machine is mean. Even nearly a quarter of a century later... When the boost hits, time stops. Only 2500 of these machines were sold in the states. This is an unmolested rare original with the exception of the period correct Yoshimura mufflers with ceramic coated pipes, as well as braided brake lines and a fork brace. Performance was on a par with the GPz1100, at around 11.2 secs at 125mph for the quarter mile and 148mph flat out. One magazine even branded it the fastest bike they had ever tested, and Kawasaki ran some ads claiming it to be "The Fastest Production Motorcycle in the World". Jay "PeeWee" Gleason also recorded a 10.71 quarter for Kawasaki to show that the turbo had genuine performance and was ahead of the other factory turbos. It is widely considered to be the "best" factory turbo produced by the Japanese manufacturers.
