Information: A VJ22 ''P''-model RGV in more-or-less standard condition, other than aftermarket paint and chrome-plated expansion chambers. Bought locally out of pure nostalgia, the bike had been (apparently) mostly restored by the previous owner. It was in ok condition but clearly needed a serious clean and some TLC. Could use an engine rebuild just for completeness. This is the bike I wanted when I was 17 but couldn''t afford. It''s home is in my living-room as a collector''s piece. April ''09 status update: The bike was ''restored'' by the previous owner but it was clearly a half-arsed job. On the surface it''s nice, but the fairing is hiding some horrors. The bike is currently more-or less completely stripped and awaiting the return of many parts from the powder-coaters before the rebuild. The electrical system needs some attention in the mean time. New body work has been collected and is on its way to the painter. May ''09: Bodywork still not back. Bike mostly back together. Banana swinging arm from earlier VJ22 purchased via eBay. July ''09: Bodywork collected from painter as he hasn''t bothered doing it. Another painter required. Project stalled a bit due to lack of motivation. Starting to get back on track. August ''09: Bodywork still not painted. Original panels re-fitted, along with white wheels, and bike moved into living room. May ''10: Pepsi bodywork finished, collected and fitted. What a relief! Engine still left to rebuild.
