Men with Balls 2008 Photos
Info: Every year, in the nip of winter, the Heaths MCC of Bloemfontein hosts a 1000 km riding event - Men with Balls. The aim is to complete the pre-set course of 1000 km''s within 12 hours, no demanding timing or speed - do it at your own pace, as long as you finish before 6pm! You depart Bloemfontein (in the Free State province) at 06:00 (still dark an *&%$ cold!) setting off on the route, collecting "evidence" at certain towns, a cash slip from refuelling, or a stamp from the petrol station. This year 203 bikers set off and nearly all of them finished. Some guys see it as a test of how quickly they can be back, others make the most of the day of freedom and biking. Maybe well worth while to attempt to do - entry fees go towards a good cause, this year it was the Child Protection Unit of the S.A. Police Service.
